Services
Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre was established to accommodate and provide temporary sanctuary along with animal volunteer programme for wildlife, rehabilitate them to a point of self-support.

Charles Darwin has mentioned, “Man is descended from a hairy, tailed quadruped, probably arboreal in its habits.” Was he talking about apes, maybe? But let’s leave science at this and think logically about one of the most wonderful creations of god, the apes. One such South African animal is the Vervet monkey, which is known for the uncanny resemblance to human characteristics, such as hypertension, anxiety, social and dependent alcohol use. It’s high time we should take care of the South African animals and work as animal volunteers for Africa monkeys. One such organization is the Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. It’s a family run service, but the work ethics are humble and concern is genuine. We are working out to conserve our wildlife for future generations. We are working closely with many animals on the South African animal list, but would like to consider ourselves as the primate experts.
Many animal care enthusiasts from all over the world have come over to work as animal volunteers or animal hospital volunteers. Thanks to all the animal volunteers, we have been able to successfully pull off this wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa. With natural rehabilitation enclosures measuring more than 6 Ha and presently housing more than 500 monkeys and other wildlife species RWRC is not only the biggest primate rehabilitation centre in South Africa, but the biggest Vervet monkey rehabilitation centre in the world, the only privately owned centre not receiving Corporate or Government funding. For the best charity for monkeys organized by us, people are showering their love and enthusiasm since 2002. Apart from the monkey charity and wildlife rehabilitation in South Africa, we are also actively persuading the same for rehabilitation of monkeys of Costa Rica. Due to all the support from the animal volunteers and wildlife enthusiasts, we are able to produce results at a very consistent rate.
